As the Kitchen Manager at The Otley Burger Company, your responsibilities will include:
1. Leadership: You will be responsible for leading and help managing a team of kitchen staff members. This includes training and developing staff, creating schedules, and ensuring smooth operations in the kitchen.
2. Food Quality and Safety: You will be responsible for maintaining the high standards of food quality and safety at all times. This includes overseeing the preparation and cooking of food, ensuring proper storage and handling of ingredients, and conducting regular inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
3. Menu Development: You will work closely with our team to develop and refine our menu offerings. This includes creating new recipes, testing and tasting new dishes, and making adjustments based on customer feedback and market trends.
4. Inventory Management: You will be responsible for managing inventory levels, including ordering ingredients and supplies, monitoring stock levels, and minimizing waste. This requires strong organizational skills and the ability to effectively track and manage inventory.
The ideal candidate for this position will have:
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a high-volume restaurant or food truck environment.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- A passion for food and a strong understanding of culinary techniques and principles.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations, with a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with staff, customers, and suppliers.
- Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
