We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes while ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. Your expertise will contribute to creating a delightful dining experience for our residents.
Duties
Prepare ingredients and assist in meal preparation according to established recipes and standards.
Cook a variety of dishes, ensuring flavour, presentation, and portion control are maintained.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during busy periods.
Monitor stock levels of ingredients and report any shortages or issues to management.
Participate in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
Hours to include: weekdays, weekends, bank holidays, mornings and evenings. Breakfasts, lunches and supper.
Skills
Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a kitchen environment.
Strong skills with a good understanding of various cooking techniques.
Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations to ensure compliance.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being able to manage tasks independently.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to work under pressure.
A passion for food and creativity in meal presentation is highly desirable, while honing your skills in a vibrant kitchen environment.

Pay: From 12.86 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 14 per week
