Duties
Assist in food preparation, including chopping, mixing, and assembling ingredients
Cook dishes according to specified recipes and standards
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations
Support meal preparation for service periods, ensuring timely delivery of dishes
Assist with inventory management and stock replenishment
Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to ensure a safe working environment
Serve food to customers or assist serving staff during busy periods as required
Contribute to maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for guests and team members
Experience
Prior experience in food preparation or cooking is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices is advantageous
Experience working in a restaurant or cafe environment is beneficial but not mandatory
Familiarity with meal preparation techniques and kitchen equipment will be considered an asset
A positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and good organisational skills are essential for success in this role
