Job Description

We are looking for dedicated and skilled kichen hand/cooks to join the OK Diner team. The ideal candidate will have experience with food/restaurant food prep and cooking and a commitment to delivering high-standard meals.

As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes while ensuring that all food follows company recipes and that safety and hygiene standards are met at all times.

This role is essential in creating an enjoyable dining experience for our guests.

Duties

Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and menu specifications. Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner, maintaining high standards of quality and presentation. Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations at all times. Manage food preparation tasks efficiently, ensuring that all ingredients are fresh and properly stored. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service periods. Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and kitchen safety practices. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to management.

Qualifications

experience as a Cook in a restaurant or similar kitchen environment is essential. knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques. you must have the ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in meal preparation. Strong communication skills to work collaboratively with team members. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
