Duties

Assist in the preparation of a variety of dishes, including salads, main courses, and desserts Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure consistency and quality Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in accordance with food safety standards Support the cooking process by preparing ingredients and assembling dishes as directed by senior staff Ensure all food is stored correctly and adhere to hygiene regulations at all times Assist with serving food to customers when required, providing friendly and efficient service Help with inventory management by checking stock levels and notifying supervisors of shortages or expired items Contribute to a positive team environment by collaborating effectively with colleagues

Skills

Previous experience in food preparation or cooking within a restaurant or catering environment is desirable Strong knowledge of food safety practices and hygiene standards Ability to follow instructions accurately and work efficiently under pressure Good organisational skills with attention to detail in meal presentation and cleanliness Basic culinary skills including meal preparation techniques and ingredient handling Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork and customer interaction when serving Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities within a busy kitchen setting

Pay: 7.55-15.87 per hour
