We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a Cook, you will be responsible for creating delicious meals that meet our high standards of quality and presentation. You will work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that all dishes are prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and culinary best practices.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and menu specifications. Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety standards and regulations. Assist in the planning and development of menus, taking into consideration seasonal ingredients and customer preferences. Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods. Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages to management.

Experience

Previous experience as a Cook or in a similar culinary role is preferred. Strong knowledge of meal preparation techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen equipment operation. Ability to work effectively in a team environment while also being able to take initiative when required. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation. A passion for cooking and creativity in developing new dishes is highly desirable.
