FULL TIME: 30- 45 hours per week
LOCATION: PERTHSHIRE
SALARY: 12.50 per hour + tips
REPORTS TO: HEAD CHEF
Roles & Responsibilities
- Kitchen Porter duties including washing dishes, keeping the kitchen clean and busy and closing down the kitchen.
- Help the kitchen team with food preparation for service.
- Once trained, complete breakfast service as a chef.
- Run a section during service in an efficient and quality manner
- Gaining a sound understanding of stock rotation and ensure stock is being used accordingly.
- Building a good working relationship with all other areas of the business
Key Skills & Requirements
- Awareness of manual handling techniques
- Awareness of Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations (COSHH) and chemical safety
- Strong communication skills
- High level of attention to detail
- Enthusiasm to develop your own skills and knowledge plus assisting with the development of other kitchen team members
- Adaptable to change and willingness to embrace new ideas and processes
- Ability to work unsupervised and deliver quality work, in what can sometimes be a pressurised environment, thinking on your feet when necessary
- Positive and approachable manner

- City & Guilds 706/1 | 706/2 Catering
- SVQ Level 2
- Level 2 Health and Safety in the Workplace Certificate (DESI)
- Level 3 Food Safety Awards
