Duties
Assist in food preparation by chopping, peeling, measuring ingredients, and assembling dishes according to established recipes and standards
Support cooking processes by operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of all kitchen areas, including counters, utensils, and storage spaces
Handle food safely by adhering to proper food handling procedures and sanitation standards
Prepare ingredients and meals for service, ensuring timely delivery during busy periods
Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food and ensuring presentation meets quality standards
Serve food to guests or staff in a professional manner, ensuring excellent customer service at all times
Monitor inventory levels of supplies and ingredients, notifying management when stock needs replenishing
Follow all health and safety regulations diligently to uphold a safe working environment for everyone
Qualifications
Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant environments demonstrates your culinary capability
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures is essential
