We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Kitchen Hand. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, contributing to the preparation and presentation of high-quality meals. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with an emphasis on food safety and hygiene standards.
Responsibilities
Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and measuring spices.
Cook and assemble dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
Assist in meal preparation for service, ensuring timely delivery of dishes to customers.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow during busy service periods.
Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of food safety practices.
Skills
Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen environment.
Strong culinary skills with the ability to follow recipes accurately.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for maintaining hygiene standards.
Previous experience in a restaurant setting is highly desirable.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in meal presentation.
Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and management.
