We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic chef to prepare lunches in busy and upscale Eatery. In this role, you will be responsible for various aspects of food preparation and cooking, ensuring that all meals are prepared to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Responsibilities
Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and marinating as required
Cook and present meals according to established recipes and presentation standards
Ensure all food safety regulations are adhered to during meal preparation and serving
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils
Assist in menu planning and meal preparation based on seasonal ingredients
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations
Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge
Experience
Previous experience in a quick service kitchen environment is essential
Proven skills in food preparation and cooking techniques
Familiarity with food safety standards and practices
Culinary qualifications or relevant training would be an advantage but are not mandatory
Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
