Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our culinary team as a Kitchen Hand. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations within a dynamic, fast paced cafe environment. The successful candidate will contribute to delivering high-quality meals while maintaining excellent food safety standards. Prior experience in food service or culinary arts is preferred but, training will be provided. Responsibilities

Prepare ingredients and assist in the cooking of various dishes according to established recipes and standards Ensure all food is prepared safely, adhering to food safety regulations and hygiene practices Assist with meal assembly and presentation to meet quality standards Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and sanitising work surfaces Support the team during busy service periods by efficiently managing multiple tasks Follow health and safety guidelines at all times to ensure a safe working environment Assist with inventory management by checking stock levels and notifying supervisors of shortages or expired items

Requirements

Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant service is essential Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy periods Good organisational skills with attention to detail Flexibility to work shifts as required, including weekends if necessary A positive attitude and strong team ethic

Pay: 12.21-14.00 per hour
