Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Kitchen Manager to oversee the daily operations of our busy culinary establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary knowledge, and a passion for delivering exceptional food. This role involves managing food production, supervising kitchen staff, ensuring food safety and hygiene standards are met, and maintaining a smooth workflow within the kitchen environment. The Kitchen Manager will play a key role in maintaining high-quality standards and fostering a positive team atmosphere.

Responsibilities

Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and storage processes. Manage and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and high standards of performance. Develop and implement menus in collaboration with the owner and general manager, maintaining consistency and quality. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times. Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock to minimise waste while ensuring availability of ingredients. Train staff on proper food handling techniques, allergens, safety procedures, and customer service standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen area. Collaborate with management on budgeting, cost control, and operational improvements.

Qualifications

Proven experience in food preparation from scratch within a restaurant or hospitality setting. Previous management or supervising experience. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members. Evidential culinary experience with knowledge of various cooking techniques and food safety standards. Familiarity with restaurant operations and hospitality practices. Experience in managing inventory, ordering supplies, and controlling costs effectively. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently under pressure. A passion for delivering high-quality food experiences and fostering a positive working environment.
