The Role



As our Experienced Chef, you will be a key part of our kitchen team, ensuring operations run smoothly and to the highest standard. You'll be responsible for daily food preparation and service, working closely with the rest of the team to deliver an exceptional experience for our customers. This role is perfect for someone who loves a hands-on approach and thrives on different projects, from daily specials to creative street food menus.

Key Responsibilities



Kitchen Operations



Food Preparation:

Prepare, cook, and present food according to our specifications.

Menu Creativity:

Help plan daily specials while focusing on minimizing waste.

Inventory Management:

Assist with ordering food stock and preparing for service based on sales levels.

Stock Control:

Ensure proper stock rotation and follow

FIFO (First-In, First-Out)

principles for all stock areas, fridges, and freezers.

Hygiene & Safety:

Uphold all Health and Safety and Food Hygiene requirements. This includes keeping the kitchen clean and hygienic, following cleaning rotas, and maintaining accurate records.

Communication & Reporting



Teamwork:

Work closely with the front-of-house team, ensuring clear communication and smooth service.

Reporting:

Report to management on a weekly basis, providing updates on kitchen operations.

Financials:

Help control stock and adhere to GP (Gross Profit) levels.

Supplier Relations:

Communicate with suppliers as needed.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)



Your success will be measured by:

Food GP Targets:

Meeting our targets for food gross profit.

Delivery Time:

Ensuring quick and efficient service.

Customer Feedback:

Positive comments from our customer comment cards.

Food Safety:

Maintaining excellent results in unannounced in-house Food Safety Audits.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 13.00-13.50 per hour
