Responsibilities

Manage daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to food safety regulations. Supervise kitchen staff, providing training and guidance to enhance their skills and performance. Oversee food preparation, cooking, and serving processes to guarantee high-quality dishes are served promptly. Develop and implement menus that reflect current culinary trends while considering customer preferences. Maintain inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed to ensure the kitchen is well-stocked. Enforce health and safety standards within the kitchen environment, conducting regular inspections. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction. Handle any issues that arise within the kitchen promptly and effectively.

Skills

Proven experience in food production, cooking, and food preparation within a restaurant or hospitality setting. Strong management skills with prior supervising experience in a kitchen environment. Culinary experience with a passion for creating exceptional dishes. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in a commercial kitchen. Excellent leadership abilities to motivate and inspire a diverse team. Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
