We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Kitchen Manager to oversee the daily operations of our busy culinary establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary and management experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional food and service. This role involves managing kitchen staff, ensuring food safety standards are maintained, and maintaining a high standard of food quality. The Kitchen Manager will play a pivotal role in creating a welcoming environment for both staff and guests while ensuring operational efficiency.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Culture
Ensure all kitchen staff are fulfilling their roles effectively.
Maintain high morale and a positive, supportive kitchen culture.
Manage staff on a day-to-day basis, addressing any issues swiftly to keep the atmosphere constructive and calm.
Conduct staff appraisals and probation reviews.
Provide ongoing constructive feedback as well as positive recognition to all staff.
Train and develop team members individually and collectively to improve skills, confidence, and performance.
Lead, coach, motivate, and set measurable goals for the team, offering regular feedback.
Kitchen Standards & Operations
Continuously assess the kitchen layout and workflow, suggesting and implementing ideas to optimise space, improve organisation, and enhance day-to-day working logistics.
Maintain and continuously improve the quality and consistency of all kitchen products to ensure exceptional customer satisfaction.
Oversee daily kitchen duties including:
Ordering
Deliveries
Cleaning schedules
Fridge organisation
HACCP compliance
Ensure the kitchen meets the highest food safety standards and achieves maximum EHO rating.
Work with owners and senior staff to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
Staffing & Structure
Manage the rota for the Pastry, KP, and Prep Chef sections.
Address performance issues and discipline staff when necessary, including termination when required.
Creativity & Product Development
Collaborate with the team to create new, exciting products while maintaining the quality and consistency of existing items.

Pay: 32,000.00-37,000.00 per year
