Kitchen Manager

to lead our school catering service and deliver nutritious, delicious meals that help our pupils thrive.

As the heart of our kitchen, you'll have the opportunity to:

Take the lead in daily food preparation and service for over 200 pupils and staff

Inspire and supervise a friendly team of part-time catering staff

Bring fresh ideas to our menus while meeting dietary needs and school preferences

Oversee kitchen hygiene, safety, and equipment with professionalism and care

Build strong relationships with students, staff, suppliers, and the wider school community

Emersons Green Primary School has an in-house catering service providing nutritious high-quality meals for children and staff.

You will be responsible for the day to day running of the school kitchen liaising and working with our catering supplier and school staff

You will assist the manager in all aspects of health and safety in the kitchen ensuring all hygiene and cleanliness standards are met.

We are looking for an individual who:

has experience of working in a school kitchen environment can support the kitchen manager in running an effective lunch service. can assist in the promotion of a healthy eating Is flexible and able to adapt to ensure a smooth running of our lunch service maintains a calm and consistent approach to working with the children. somebody who is able to communicate well with children, other staff and lead professionals shares the school's vision and values. has a patient, empathetic and conscientious nature and who is committed to providing the best care and service for our children possesses good interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team
