We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Kitchen Manager to oversee all culinary operations within our establishment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing food production, ensuring exceptional food quality, and maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene. Responsibilities
Supervise daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and serving activities
Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper stock rotation
Oversee food safety protocols and maintain compliance with health regulations
Lead, motivate, and supervise kitchen staff to ensure high performance and teamwork
Develop menus in collaboration with the culinary team, incorporating innovative dishes and seasonal ingredients
Train staff on food preparation techniques, safety standards, and customer service excellence
Monitor quality control to ensure consistency in dish presentation and taste
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment at all times
Skills
Proven experience in food production, cooking, and food preparation within a restaurant or hospitality setting
Strong management and supervising experience in a fast-paced culinary environment
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members
Sound knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene regulations
Experience in restaurant operations with a focus on customer satisfaction
Familiarity with culinary techniques and menu development
Ability to manage inventory efficiently and control costs effectively
Barista experience is considered a plus for roles involving beverage service
Exceptional organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of kitchen management
