Same-Same but Different is an independent neighbourhood cafe in Bath with a 35-cover dining space. We're all about good food, good people, and doing the simple things really well. Everything is made with care, using quality ingredients, and we've built a loyal local following because of it.
We're now looking for a Kitchen Manager/Chef to take the lead in the kitchen and make the role their own.
The Role
This is a hands-on position where you'll be cooking, leading a small team, and keeping the kitchen running smoothly day to day. You'll have plenty of autonomy, input into menus, and the chance to shape how the kitchen works.
What You'll Be Doing
Running the kitchen day to day -- prep, service, and close-down
Leading and supporting a small kitchen team
Making sure food is consistently great and well-presented
Getting involved in menu ideas and seasonal changes
Ordering, stock control, and keeping waste under control
Keeping on top of food safety and hygiene
Working closely with front-of-house to keep service flowing nicely
About You
Experience as a Head Chef, Kitchen Manager, or a strong Sous ready to step up
Comfortable in a small, busy kitchen
Organised, calm, and happy leading from the front
Genuinely passionate about good food
Reliable, friendly, and a good team player
