We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled

Kitchen Manager

to join the team at our new entertainment venue The Light in Huddersfield.



The Light, Huddersfield opened in spring 2025 and is offering an unrivalled cinema experience, great food and drinks, and everything from climbing walls, ten pin bowling and mini golf to interactive darts and karaoke.The Light, Huddersfield is a destination for shared experiences and creation of memories.



As our

Kitchen Manager

you will lead the kitchen team to prepare, cook, and present our dishes with pride and passion, rising to the challenge of a busy service and ensuring food standards are met and maintained at all times.



You will lead all aspects of kitchen management including inventory, menu development, food preparation and ensure adherence to feed safety and sanitation standards.






About You:



Experience of working in a high-profile venue, that is part of local community, with the charisma to connect with your guests and inspire your team, Demonstrable experience in developing, coaching, and training teams to achieve their career goals, A strong multi-tasker and organised Manager, who ensures that all procedures are always followed and delivers on Health & Safety and Food Hygiene, compliance, and procedures with attention to detail required to implement these in the workplace Experience in delivering food for corporate events, A strong leader with excellent communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team, High standard of quality and food presentation, System literate, able to analyse a stock result as much as your P&L Demonstrate strengths in finance, purchasing and menu costing,

How we will keep you busy:




Manage daily kitchen operation with confidence - from food preparation to final plate presentation, Lead the training of new starters in the kitchen as well as assist with on-going training for the venue, Oversee inventory, minimize wastage, maintain food cost targets without compromising on quality Ensure compliance with H&S regulations, high standards of cleanliness, Attend weekly manager's meetings and providing an update on all topics relevant to kitchen operations, Be responsible for a smooth and effective kitchen service and ensure all necessary work is completed prior to the commencement of the service, Work closely with Front of house team to deliver an exceptional guest experience
