Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Manager to oversee our culinary operations in our busy sports bar in Rochester. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for food, ensuring that our kitchen runs smoothly while maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. This role is pivotal in managing kitchen staff, coordinating food preparation, and delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests.

Duties

Lead and manage the kitchen team, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment. Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food production and preparation processes. Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in compliance with health regulations. Train and mentor kitchen staff in cooking techniques, food safety practices, and hospitality standards. Monitor inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed to ensure uninterrupted service. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery and guest satisfaction. Assist in the preparation of meals, demonstrating culinary skills as required.

Skills

Proven leadership abilities with experience managing a team in a restaurant setting. Strong culinary skills with a background in food preparation and production. In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices within the hospitality industry. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. A passion for cooking and helping others develop their culinary talents. Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with both kitchen and front-of-house teams.
