Summary
We are seeking a passionate, enthusiastic Kitchen Manager to join our team at Everyday People in Nottingham. In this pivotal role, you will oversee kitchen operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality dishes that align with our mission of exceptional dining experiences. Your leadership will be key in maintaining our standards both back of house and fostering a positive kitchen environment during service.

Key Objectives
Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency and high standards. We work to a structure of 4 days working with 3 consecutive days off to ensure proper rest and work-life balance.
This role specifically will split the 4-working days into 2-days cooking / 2-days admin. Below are roles and responsibilities for these two areas:
Admin:
Line management of all Back of House (BOH) employees, ensuring wellbeing and morale are closely nurtured and maintained and time is set aside for regular 1:1s where required
Take ownership of all EHO compliance, paperwork and kitchen cleanliness
Oversee kitchen operations, enforcing excellent standards incl. Chef uniform and the company's policies and procedures adhered to
Upkeep of all Dish Specifications (Specs), receiving them from our 'Director of Food' and ensuring these are typed-up, proof-read, clear, accurate and current
Working closely with the Head Chef/Sous Chef to ensure all Specs are accurately used, and all latest versions are being followed with precision
Produce a weekly "Family Meal" rota to rotate Chefs and give each the opportunity to cook Family for the teams and express themselves through food, harnessing creativity and innovation
Management of the walk-in fridge, the freezer/s and all ambient shelves containing food or food produce, liaising with the Head Chef/Sous Chef to ensure frequent stock rotation and minimal waste through "Specials" and Family meals
Submit stock orders when required for food produce
Cooking:
To lead by example with exceptional quality dishes, dedicated attitude to work, and professionalism
Expedite the pass during service ensuring dishes leave the kitchen to our exceptional standard and oversee kitchen operations, on-hand to answer any questions
On occasion, the Kitchen Manager may be required to work additional kitchen to stand-in for Chefs during periods of staff shortages
Proven experience in kitchen management or a similar role within the food industry.
Strong culinary skills with a focus on food production and preparation
Excellent leadership abilities with experience in supervising teams
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with staff and suppliers
