We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Kitchen Manager to oversee the daily operations of a new restaurant. The restaurant menu will be centred on grilled meats such as high quality peri peri chicken with tasty sides, as well as a quality smashed burger menu. The restaurant is a fun family style restaurant that runs from lunch through to dinner. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary and management experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional food and service. This role involves supervising kitchen staff, ensuring food safety standards are maintained, and fostering a positive working environment to deliver high-quality dining experiences.
Duties
Manage and coordinate all aspects of kitchen operations, including food production, preparation, and presentation.
Supervise kitchen staff, including chefs, cooks, and other team members, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to company standards.
Oversee food safety compliance, maintaining hygiene standards in accordance with health regulations.
Develop menus in collaboration with the culinary team, considering customer preferences and seasonal ingredients.
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock control to minimise waste.
Train and mentor staff to ensure high standards of culinary excellence and customer service.
Ensure timely delivery of orders whilst maintaining quality control.
Collaborate with front-of-house teams to optimise service delivery and guest satisfaction.
Handle customer feedback professionally and implement improvements where necessary.
Experience
Proven management experience within a restaurant or hospitality environment, ideally as a Kitchen Manager or Head Chef.
Extensive background in food production, cooking, food preparation, and serving.
Demonstrable supervisory experience with a track record of leading successful teams.
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene management.
Experience working in a fast-paced restaurant setting with excellent organisational skills.
Familiarity with culinary techniques across various cuisines is desirable.
