We are seeking an experienced Kitchen Manager to manage the weekend operation running the kitchen of the Rugby Club. The ideal candidate will possess a strong ability and a passion to deliver a quality experience of a food offering to our club members and visitors to the Club. This role requires effective communication skills, organisational prowess, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service whilst maintaining a streamlined budget to deliver quality food. The Club is open each weekend through the rugby season and hosts events in our main function room through out the year. The individual needs to be flexible and committed to availability to the needs of the Club. The Club has a very positive environment with the Executive Board of the Club seeking to empower the individual in decision making and functional running. The position can allow the Kitchen Manager to be entrepreneurial and think outside the box and help promote the club.
The position available is mostly at weekend times and may suit someone who looks for flexibility in their working life.
Expected working hours: Saturday 5 Hrs, Sunday 3 Hrs (subject to home games)
Extra hours will be available subject to operational needs of the Club.
Must be local to St Neots and an immediate start is available.
Duties
Manage weekly kitchen operations, ensuring a high standard of service and member satisfaction.
Supervise and lead a team of staff on busy Club days.
Develop and implement selling food strategies to enhance member engagement.
Prepare a menu that is available to our VP lunches on a fixed budget.
Maintain administrative responsibilities, including scheduling, reporting, and compliance with club policies.
Maintain our 5 kitchen to EHO standard with application to H & S standards Prepare meals for members and guests that have food allergies..
Communicate effectively with staff and Club members, demonstrating excellent values and interpersonal skills.
Maintain the kitchen operation and provide meals for home and away teams at weekends
Maintain and manage food items within the kitchen, and ensure ingredients for food preparation and cooking is purchased in a 'just in time' process.
Qualifications
Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate
Proven experience in food preparation, cooking and delivery
Knowledge of food allergies and corrective measures
Kitchen qualification - preferred
Would suit someone that likes or has a flexible lifestyle but willing to work hard when needed.
