Overview


We are seeking an experienced and passionate Kitchen Manager to lead our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of food safety and production. As the Kitchen Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food preparation and presentation, and managing staff effectively. This role requires a blend of creativity, organisation, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities



Manage daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency and quality in food production. Supervise kitchen staff, including cooks, providing guidance and support as needed. Oversee food preparation processes to maintain high standards of hygiene and safety. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean working environment. Assist in menu planning and development, contributing innovative ideas for dishes. Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, safety protocols, and operational procedures. Help manage inventory levels, ordering supplies as necessary to ensure smooth operations. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery to customers.

Requirements



Preferably experience in a kitchen management role or similar position within the hospitality industry. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team. In-depth knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food production. Experience in cooking and food preparation techniques is essential. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure. Strong communication skills to liaise with both kitchen and front-of-house teams. A passion for culinary arts and commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 12.00-16.40 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 45 per week
