We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Kitchen Manager to lead our kitchen and dining team. Hours worked include weekend and varying shifts. Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate all kitchen activities, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation
Manage and motivate kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality output
Oversee food safety protocols and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Plan menus in collaboration with the culinary team, considering seasonality and customer preferences
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock control to minimise waste
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in accordance with hygiene standards
Train new staff members on food preparation techniques, safety procedures, and service standards
Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery
Implement quality control measures to uphold the restaurant's reputation for excellence
Assist in resolving any operational issues promptly to minimise disruptions
Skills
Proven supervising experience within a busy kitchen or hospitality environment
Strong background in food production, culinary techniques, and food preparation
Excellent team management and leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff
In-depth knowledge of food safety standards and regulations
Experience in restaurant or hospitality settings with a focus on customer satisfaction
Ability to organise multiple tasks efficiently under pressure
Good communication skills to liaise effectively with staff and suppliers
