We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Kitchen Manager to oversee the daily operations of our busy rest The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering exceptional food and service. This role involves supervising kitchen staff, ensuring food safety standards are maintained, and managing overall kitchen performance to uphold our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
Duties
Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, including cooks, and serving personnel
Oversee food production, ensuring dishes are prepared to high standards of quality and presentation
Manage food safety protocols in compliance with health regulations and company policies
Plan menus in collaboration with the culinary team, considering seasonality and customer preferences
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock rotation to minimise waste
Train new staff members and provide ongoing development opportunities for existing team members
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment in accordance with hygiene standards
Assist in cooking and food preparation during busy periods as needed
Ensure efficient utilisation of kitchen equipment and resources to optimise productivity
Foster a positive team environment that encourages collaboration, professionalism, and high morale
Requirements
Proven supervisory experience within a professional kitchen or hospitality environment
knowledge with hands-on experience in food preparation and cooking techniques
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively
Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations (e.g., HACCP)
Experience in food production, menu planning, and inventory management
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks under pressure
Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is highly desirable
Good communication skills to liaise effectively with staff and management teams
Passion for delivering excellent customer service through high-quality food standards
