We are seeking a talented and experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team in delivering exceptional culinary experiences. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food production and kitchen management, demonstrating both creativity and leadership. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring that our dishes meet the highest standards of quality and presentation while maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.
Duties
Supervise and manage kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment and encouraging professional development.
Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure consistency and quality in all dishes served.
Develop innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene throughout the kitchen.
Monitor inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed to maintain operational efficiency.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen protocols.
Manage kitchen schedules to optimise workflow during peak service times.
Skills
Proven supervising experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Strong background in food production with extensive culinary experience.
Excellent team management skills, capable of inspiring and leading a diverse group of individuals.
Proficient in food preparation techniques and cooking methods across various cuisines.
In-depth knowledge of food safety standards and best practices within the hospitality industry.
Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable, with a focus on delivering exceptional dining experiences.
Strong leadership abilities, capable of making quick decisions under pressure while maintaining composure.
A passion for serving high-quality dishes that delight guests and enhance their dining experience.
Food orders are taken from 12pm and 3pm and then 6pm and 9pm each day (Sundays from 12pm and 5pm). We have almost 100 covers inside plus another 180 covers in the garden. We are seeking a dependable cook who is capable of managing high volumes whilst being enthusiastic and creative enough to keep our food selection varied and exciting.
