To maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in all kitchen and back-of-house areas. To support the kitchen team by ensuring that equipment, crockery, and utensils are clean and ready for use, and to assist with basic food preparation when required.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure all kitchen areas, including floors, surfaces, and equipment, are cleaned to a high standard in line with health & safety regulations.
Wash pots, pans, utensils, and crockery using dishwashers or by hand where necessary.
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, walls, and work surfaces.
Dispose of waste appropriately and ensure bins are emptied regularly.
Assist chefs with basic food preparation tasks, such as peeling or portioning.
Ensure storage areas are clean, organised, and free from hazards.
Adhere to all food hygiene, health and safety, and COSHH regulations.
Report any maintenance issues or hazards to the kitchen management.
Support with deliveries by receiving, unpacking, and storing food items correctly.
Work as part of a team to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Requirements:
No previous experience necessary - full training provided.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and hygiene.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Physically fit and able to be on your feet for extended periods.
Flexible with hours, including availability for weekends and evenings.
