Duties

Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen, including washing dishes, pots, and pans. Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by chefs and kitchen staff. Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use. Help with the organisation of food storage areas, ensuring that all items are labelled and stored correctly. Support chefs during busy service periods by preparing ingredients and assisting with basic cooking tasks. Dispose of waste appropriately and ensure recycling protocols are followed. Maintain a tidy work environment to promote safety and efficiency within the kitchen.

Requirements

Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is advantageous but not essential. A keen interest in culinary arts and food preparation is highly desirable. Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Good communication skills to liaise effectively with kitchen staff. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
