We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the kitchen staff by ensuring cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen environment. This position is perfect for individuals looking to gain experience in the culinary field, whether you have prior restaurant, hotel, or general kitchen experience.
Responsibilities
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen, including washing dishes, pots, and utensils.
Support cooking staff by ensuring all necessary ingredients and tools are readily available.
Help with the organisation of kitchen supplies and equipment to ensure an efficient workflow.
Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times to maintain a safe working environment.
Participate in the cleaning of kitchen areas, including floors, surfaces, and equipment.
Assist in serving meals during busy periods as required, contributing to a positive dining experience for guests.
Requirements
Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel kitchen environment is advantageous
Monday - Friday 9AM - 4 /4.30PM
Basic culinary skills or knowledge of food preparation techniques would be beneficial.
A strong work ethic with the ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
A team player who is willing to learn and take direction from more experienced staff members.
A passion for hospitality and providing exceptional service to guests is highly valued.
