We are hiring a Kitchen Porter to join our professional team in a fast-paced kitchen environment. As a Kitchen Porter, experience is not required, and is a gateway to starting your culinary career. You will play a vital role in supporting the team by ensuring that the kitchen runs smoothly, efficiently and hygienically. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about the hospitality industry and are eager to learn more about food preparation and culinary practices.

Duties

- Assist in the preparation of food items as directed by the chefs, ensuring high standards of hygiene and safety are maintained.

- Keep the kitchen area clean and organised, including washing dishes, pots, pans, and utensils.

- Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use.

- Help with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables or assembling ingredients.

- Support the kitchen team during busy service periods by providing assistance where needed.

- Maintain stock levels of cleaning supplies and report any shortages to the management.

- Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.

The Ideal Candidate

- Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality setting is preferred but not essential; a willingness to learn is key.

- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

- Strong communication and teamwork skills.

- A passion for the culinary arts and an interest in pursuing a career within the hospitality industry.

- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: 7.55-12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 45 per week
