We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced hospitality environment. As a Kitchen Porter, you will play a crucial role in supporting the kitchen staff by ensuring that the kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about food preparation and are eager to learn within the culinary field.

Duties

Assist in the preparation of food items as directed by the kitchen staff. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, utensils, and equipment. Ensure that all kitchen supplies are stocked and readily available for use. Help with the disposal of waste and recycling in accordance with health and safety regulations. Support chefs and cooks during busy service periods by providing assistance as needed. Follow all health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. Participate in cleaning tasks at the end of each shift to ensure hygiene standards are met.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a hotel or restaurant setting is desirable but not essential. A keen interest in culinary arts and food preparation is an advantage. Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a busy kitchen environment. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail. Willingness to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities as required. Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards work in hospitality.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 11.44-13.76 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 12 per week
