We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our vibrant team in a fast-paced culinary environment. The Kitchen Porter plays a crucial role in supporting the kitchen staff by ensuring that the kitchen is clean, organised, and well-stocked. This position is ideal for individuals looking to gain experience in the hospitality industry, particularly in restaurants or hotels, and those with an interest in culinary arts.

Duties

Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes, pots, and pans. Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by chefs and cooks. Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use. Help in maintaining stock levels of kitchen supplies and report shortages to the head chef. Support the culinary team during busy service periods by providing assistance where needed. Follow health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.

Experience

Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel kitchen is advantageous but not essential. A keen interest in hospitality and culinary practices is preferred. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Strong teamwork skills and a willingness to help others in a busy kitchen environment. Good communication skills to effectively interact with kitchen staff.
