Job Summary


We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the culinary team by ensuring the kitchen is clean, organised, and well-equipped for food preparation. This position is vital for maintaining the high standards of hygiene and efficiency that our establishment prides itself on.

Duties



Keeping the KP area & dishwasher clean and spotless at all times. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes, pots, pans, and utensils. Ensure all KP surfaces are cleaned and sanitised regularly to meet health and safety regulations. Help with returning clean items back to both kitchen and coffee department. Maintain and keep the KP area neat and organised at all times. Dispose of waste correctly and ensure recycling procedures are followed. Assist in receiving deliveries and checking inventory levels. Had dedicated days to deep cleaning storerooms and equipment. Assisting the chefs where needed with basic prep with possible progression to shifts within the kitchen.

Requirements



Previous experience in a hotel, restaurant, or hospitality environment is preferred but not essential. A keen interest in culinary arts and food preparation is advantageous. Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented atmosphere while maintaining a positive attitude. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure cleanliness standards are upheld. Have a 'what can I do next?' attitude towards your work. Willingness to learn and take direction from senior kitchen staff. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends as required.

Their mission was to bring a well rounded quality food and drink business using the industry experience they learnt in London and other cities across the globe. The business started in 2021 through the challenging COVID outbreak but navigated successfully through it and now has 4 sites, all of which have been very successful and are continuing to grow in popularity.
