We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic team at The Apollo, Bridlington. The Kitchen Porter plays a crucial role in supporting the kitchen staff by ensuring that the kitchen is clean, organised, and fully equipped for food preparation.
Responsibilities
Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by chefs and kitchen staff.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen, including washing dishes, pots, and pans.
Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use.
Help organise and stock kitchen supplies, ingredients, and utensils.
Support chefs during busy service periods by providing assistance as needed.
Dispose of waste and recycling appropriately to maintain a tidy work environment.
Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a hospitality or restaurant environment is preferred but not essential.
A keen standard of hygiene.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends. Typically the latest finish is 9PM.
A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop skills within the culinary field.
