Duties

Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen area, including washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment. Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by the chefs, ensuring all ingredients are ready for use. Help organise and store food items in accordance with health and safety regulations. Remove waste and ensure proper disposal practices are followed to maintain a tidy working environment. Support the kitchen team during busy service periods by providing additional assistance as needed. Ensure that all kitchen equipment is cleaned and maintained properly after use. Adhere to all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.

Requirements

Previous experience in a similar role within a restaurant, hotel, or culinary setting is advantageous but not essential. A strong work ethic with the ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy kitchen environment. Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team. A willingness to learn and develop skills within the hospitality industry. Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices is preferred. Flexibility to work various shifts as required by the operational needs of the establishment.
