Duties

Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by the chefs, ensuring high standards of hygiene and safety are maintained. Keep the kitchen clean and organised by washing dishes, pots, pans, and utensils promptly. Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, floors, and equipment to ensure a safe working environment. Help with the storage of food items, ensuring proper labelling and rotation to prevent spoilage. Support cooks during busy service periods by providing assistance as needed. Adhere to all health and safety regulations within the kitchen at all times. Participate in regular cleaning schedules and assist with deep cleaning tasks when required.

Skills

Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques is advantageous. Previous experience in a culinary or hospitality environment is preferred but not essential. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to maintain cleanliness and order in the kitchen. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Team player with excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with chefs and other kitchen staff. A willingness to learn and develop culinary skills further within the hospitality sector.

Pay: 15,884.15-28,721.53 per year
