We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our small kitchen team at Ranfield's Brasserie. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about food preparation and wish to gain experience in the hospitality industry, particularly within hotels and restaurants.
Responsibilities
Assist in food preparation tasks as directed by chefs and kitchen staff.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes, pots, and pans.
Basic preparation of ingredients e.g. peeling potatoes / chopping vegetables
Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and sanitised after use.
Support chefs during busy service periods by helping with basic cooking tasks when required.
Handle deliveries of food supplies and assist in proper storage procedures.
Keep work areas tidy and adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.
Work together as a team.
Skills
Previous experience in a kitchen environment is advantageous but not essential; a willingness to learn is key.
Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques is preferred.
Good communication skills to work collaboratively within a team setting.
A passion for culinary arts and an interest in pursuing a career within the hospitality industry.
Ability to follow instructions accurately and maintain high standards of cleanliness.
This position will be for roughly 20-30 hours a week.
