Immerse yourself in the world of Scottish cuisine and Scotch whisky and join our team at our vibrant five-star visitor centre in the heart of Edinburgh. We are looking for a dedicated individual to join our team as a Kitchen Porter on a permanent basis, where you'll play a role in supporting the kitchen and promoting the essence of Scottish food and Scotch Whisky.
This position offers shifts of 5 - 7 hours, working hours of up to 38 hours / week. Monday to Sunday operation, rolling rota.

A peek into the position
As a Kitchen Porter, you will support our kitchen team by ensuring the kitchen is kept clean and organised. You'll help with organising food and other items in the stockroom, and you'll have the opportunity to learn basic food preparation skills.
Your role in a nutshell
-Support the kitchen staff with basic food preparation such as washing, peeling and cutting ingredients.
- Clean countertops, kitchen walls, sinks and maintain cooking equipment like cookers, pots and pans.
-Assist in putting away deliveries.
-Emptying bins, sweeping and mopping the kitchen floor.
-Deep clean fridges and storerooms to maintain sanitary and kitchen safety standards.
-Ensure all equipment is clean and put away correctly.
