We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our team in a busy kitchen environment. As a Kitchen Porter, you will play a crucial role in supporting the kitchen staff and ensuring smooth operations.
Responsibilities
- Assist in basic food preparation tasks under the guidance of the kitchen team
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen and food preparation areas
- Wash dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment
- Keep kitchen floors and work surfaces clean and sanitised
- Dispose of waste appropriately
- Support chefs and kitchen staff with various tasks as required
Requirements
- Previous experience in a kitchen environment is advantageous
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced and demanding setting
- Strong teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff
- Willingness to learn and help with various kitchen duties
- Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: 12.21 per hour
Expected hours: 18 - 30 per week
