Responsibilities

Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment. Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by chefs, ensuring that all ingredients are ready for use. Help to keep the kitchen stocked with necessary supplies and report any shortages to the kitchen management. Support the cooking staff during busy periods by providing assistance where needed. Ensure that health and safety standards are adhered to at all times within the kitchen environment. Dispose of waste properly and ensure recycling protocols are followed. Assist in maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies and report any needs to management.

Requirements

Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality setting is desirable but not essential; a willingness to learn is key. Strong work ethic with the ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team. A passion for food preparation and an interest in culinary practices is advantageous. Flexibility regarding working hours, including evenings and weekends as required by the business needs. A positive attitude towards helping others, particularly cooks and chefs, in their daily tasks.
