About the Role:

Fosseway Garden Centre is seeking a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our team. This is a daytime role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Wash, clean, and sanitise all kitchen equipment, utensils, and surfaces. Assist with the preparation of food ingredients as required by the kitchen team. Ensure all kitchen areas are kept clean, organised, and hygienic at all times. Dispose of waste and recycling according to health and safety guidelines. Load and unload deliveries as needed, ensuring items are stored correctly. Maintain stock levels of cleaning supplies and notify management when supplies are low. Support the kitchen team with basic tasks during service periods. Follow all food hygiene and safety procedures. Report any maintenance issues or hazards to management promptly. Adhere to all company policies and procedures.

Person Specification:

Previous experience in a kitchen or catering environment is desirable but not essential. Ability to work efficiently in a team. Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and hygiene. Reliable, punctual, and willing to take on a variety of tasks. Physically able to handle cleaning and lifting duties.
