We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the culinary team by ensuring the kitchen is clean, organised, and running smoothly. This position is perfect for individuals looking to gain experience in the culinary and hospitality sectors, particularly within hotels or restaurants. Must be over 18 years old.

Duties

Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by the kitchen staff, ensuring high standards of hygiene and safety are maintained. Keep the kitchen area clean and tidy, including washing dishes, pots, pans, and utensils promptly. Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment and assist in its proper storage after use. Help with stock rotation and inventory management to ensure ingredients are used within their shelf life. Support chefs during busy service periods by delivering ingredients or assisting with basic cooking tasks as needed. Adhere to all health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and communication throughout the kitchen.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a kitchen environment is advantageous but not essential; a willingness to learn is key. Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment. Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent teamwork skills and a positive attitude towards helping others in the kitchen.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 10.10-12.21 per hour
