Responsibilities

Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, pots, and pans. Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by chefs, including chopping vegetables and preparing ingredients. Support cooking staff during service by providing assistance with plating and serving dishes. Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and maintained properly. Help with stock rotation and inventory management to minimise waste. Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment at all times. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy service periods.

Experience

Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel kitchen is preferred but not essential. Familiarity with food preparation techniques and basic cooking skills is advantageous. A background in hospitality or culinary arts will be considered a plus. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn from experienced chefs are essential for success in this role.
