We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our Kitchen Team by maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen.
Responsibilities
Assist with the preparation of ingredients for cooking and food service.
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, including washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment.
Ensure all kitchen surfaces are sanitised and free from hazards.
Support chefs and cooks by providing necessary tools and ingredients during service.
Help with the storage of food items, ensuring proper labelling and rotation.
Dispose of waste correctly and maintain recycling practices within the kitchen.
Assist in receiving deliveries and organising stock in accordance with health regulations.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy periods.
Requirements
Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting is advantageous but not essential. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure cleanliness and efficiency.
Capability to follow instructions accurately and work under pressure during peak times.
Flexibility to work various shifts as required by the kitchen schedule.
