Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen, supporting food preparation, and ensuring that all health and safety standards are met. This position is perfect for individuals looking to gain experience in the food service industry, particularly in restaurants, hotels, or catering environments.

Responsibilities

Assist with food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables as needed. Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen by washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment promptly. Support the culinary team during busy service periods by bussing tables and assisting with serving when required. Ensure all kitchen areas are kept clean and organized, including sweeping and mopping floors. Help with inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying supervisors of low stock levels. Adhere to food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures at all times.

Experience

Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred but not mandatory; we welcome those eager to learn. Familiarity with food preparation techniques and basic cooking skills is advantageous. Experience in food service or hospitality roles will be considered a plus. A background in catering services is beneficial for this position. Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment is essential.
