The Kitchen Porter will play a crucial role in supporting the kitchen staff by ensuring cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen area. Duties

Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen, including washing dishes, pots, and pans. Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by the kitchen staff, ensuring that all ingredients are ready for cooking. Help organise and store food supplies in accordance with health and safety regulations. Support chefs and cooks during busy service periods by providing timely assistance. Ensure that all kitchen equipment is cleaned and maintained properly. Dispose of waste correctly and ensure recycling practices are followed. Assist in maintaining a safe working environment by adhering to health and safety guidelines.

Requirements

Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality environment is preferred but not essential; a willingness to learn is key. Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure. Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team. A passion for food preparation and an interest in culinary arts is highly desirable. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends, as required by the business needs. A positive attitude towards work, with a commitment to delivering high standards of service.
