We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the kitchen operations within our restaurant environment. As a Kitchen Porter, you will assist chefs and cooks in maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen, ensuring that all food preparation areas are organised and well-stocked.
Duties
Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, including washing dishes, pots, pans, and utensils.
Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use.
Help with the organisation of food storage areas, ensuring that all ingredients are labelled and stored correctly.
Support the culinary team during busy service periods by providing additional assistance as needed.
Dispose of waste in accordance with health and safety regulations.
Assist with inventory management by reporting any shortages or damaged items to the kitchen supervisor.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a kitchen environment is advantageous but not essential; a willingness to learn is key.
Basic understanding of food hygiene practices and safety regulations.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
