Job Type: Part Time (20 hours)


Hourly Rate: 13.15ph

Dishwashing -

Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment either by hand or using industrial dishwashers

Kitchen Cleanliness -

Clean and sanitise kitchen surfaces, countertops, and food preparation areas. Empty rubbish bins and ensure proper disposal of waste materials

Food Preparation -

Assist chefs and cooks with basic food preparation tasks, such as peeling, chopping, and slicing ingredients

Inventory Management -

Assist in receiving, storing, and organising kitchen supplies and ingredients. Ensure stock levels are maintained and that items are properly rotated (FIFO - First In, First Out)

Compliance with Health and safety & Food and Safety -

Ensure the kitchen and surrounding areas meet health and safety standards. Report any issues or equipment malfunctions to the kitchen manager. Follow procedures for handling food and cleaning chemicals safely.

Waste Disposal -

Properly dispose of kitchen waste and ensure that waste bins are regularly emptied. Help in separating recyclable materials from regular waste.


Qualifications



Prior experience in kitchen or cleaning roles may be an advantage Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects Good attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and sanitation practices is a plus Strong communication and teamwork skills Experience in a fast moving dynamic environment Have good Health & Safety knowledge Flexible with a can-do attitude Have excellent organization skills
