As a Kitchen Porter at Potters Resorts Five Lakes, you will play a key role in supporting the kitchen team by ensuring a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment. You will assist in food preparation, washing dishes, and maintaining kitchen equipment and utensils, ensuring the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness are upheld.

Key Responsibilities

:

Clean and sanitize kitchen dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and cooking equipment. Ensure all kitchen work areas, including floors and surfaces, are kept clean and hygienic. Assist with food preparation tasks, such as chopping vegetables, preparing ingredients, and helping chefs as needed. Collect and dispose of kitchen waste in a safe and efficient manner. Ensure that all food and equipment are stored properly to maintain health and safety standards. Assist with deliveries, ensuring stock is organised and stored appropriately. Follow safety procedures and maintain hygiene standards in line with Food Safety regulations. Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with colleagues and supervisors. Adhere to the company's health and safety policies and procedures. Work as part of a team to help deliver a memorable holiday experience to our guests. Work efficiently and to keep within time frames so that everything is ready for our guests. Be able to prioritise and organise your workload. Have the ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding role

Hours:

This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week


Straight shifts - no split shifts!


Working a combination of the following shifts:


7.30am - 4.00pm


12.30pm - 9.00pm


3.00pm - 11.30pm


Working 5 days out of 7 to include working weekends and bank holidays on a rotational basis.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a kitchen environment is advantageous but not essential. A good understanding of hygiene and food safety standards. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A positive and proactive attitude with the ability to work well as part of a team. Flexibility to work different shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions. Ability to work in a physically demanding role.

No formal qualifications are needed - we'll provide all the training you need to excel in your role. If you have a positive attitude and a willingness to learn, we want to hear from you!
